Weekend Fun!!

This was a very busy weekend for us. We started out with Luke playing in between periods at the Springfield Falcons game, followed by his birthday on Sunday. We all had a lot of fun at the game and to every one's surprise all 5 kids (Henry included), lasted through the entire game and one period of overtime! I think we have a lot of future hockey players on our hands. I tried really hard for 2 days to upload the video and for some reason it didn't work, those of you that have facebook can view it there and I'm sorry to the rest of you!!

The Springfield Falcons and The Hartford Wolfpack warm up! (the Falcons pulled through with the win in overtime!)

Thank goodness we had extra laps!

Henry showing me his puck, this was right before he threw it down into a crowd of people!

The boys at the game!

Even Reed loved his first hockey experience!!

Luke is on the green team with a white helmet and maroon socks. It's not easy to pick your kid out with that mob of kids out there (I thought for most of the time that he was a blue player!). It's hard to tell, but technically Luke scored this goal at the very end of the game, one of 2 goals scored, it dribbled in very slowly, but it went in!

Luke is the green player straight ahead with the white helmet.

Luke is just to the left of the man in the grey t-shirt.

This is on Sunday at the Rainforest Cafe where we went for Luke's birthday lunch.

The other end of the table!

After lunch we went to the candy store, and no, Cole did not eat all of his pop. Cole didn't listen when we told him that his pop would break if he dropped it or banged it on anything, so naturally he banged it on a wall on the way out of the mall and when we opened it only half was remaining on the stick, he was still thrilled to have it!!

We had to improvise with the candles, apparently I was wrong in thinking that we had plenty of candles at home. The math lesson was a great touch to the birthday festivities.

Our big 5 year old!!

Luke was very excited to get his own Nintendo DS for his birthday, I'm excited now that I don't have to listen to them fighting over Jack's! Cole has already started telling me that he wants a DS for his party, I don't think so!!

Oh what fun!!! That's funny - Kaitlyn (my stepdaughter) went to that game with friends of hers, and it also is the game that Emalie's school choir was supposed to sing at but their choir director didn't want to do it. Happy birthday Luke!!!

Great blog post. I thought a DS might be coming Luke's way. Now... how am I gonna give one to Braeden for "no specific reason" - so he has one like the rest of the boys?? help!
