Picnic, Singalongs and more....

This post is kind of a combination of a few little events. Memorial Day weekend we had a picnic and a bonfire with some friends and neighbors. The boys (big and small) had so much fun. The day started out with a bunch of us going on a motorcycle ride and then returning to hang out and have a cookout (which Amy so kindly prepared for us since she missed the ride due to lack of babysitting). Next was running through the sprinkler at Amy and Kevin's house for the little boys, that is always a good time. Then it was on to Joey and Caren's for the food and horseshoe portion of our day. Luke helped by raking out the horseshoe pits for the guys, with his helmet on I might add, safety first! Cole had fun climbing the tree at the cookout (all Grandmother's don't look, he was fine. I've learned to look the other way when Bryan does these things to our children). The last part of the day was spent at our house having a bonfire. Joey performed some songs for us on his guitar and he also brought his bongo and rain stick for the boys. Luke eventually got his little guitar and joined in on the last song before bed, there is a quick video which is a little hard to see. After the boys went to bed Aaron took over and played with Joey. Henry definitely enjoyed his first fire. He was such a good boy and fell right asleep. We had a great time and our night ended with a visit from a nice Windsor Locks police officer telling us that someone complained we were too loud (oh well), it may have been the fireworks Aaron had set off earlier in the night!

More Parade Fun

On Memorial Day Jack marched in yet another parade, this was Windsor Lock's town parade. He marched with his Tae Kwon Do class, again they were very cute. They all did a great job considering we have a very long parade route. Bryan marched with him and handed out brochures with the other marching parents.

Here Cole and I wait for the parade to begin (I look rather awful, I wasn't feeling well that day).
Luke gets a birds eye view with some help from Papa.
Luke got a little restless while we waited for the parade to begin so Papa took him home to get his bike (we are lucky the parade goes very close to our house) and he was nice enough to give Cole a little ride.
Baby Henry at the parade (love the outfit!)
Here they come The Academy of Martial Arts!
Here is Jack and his instructor Mr. Hurrle. Jack is proudly wearing his new green belt he just earned about a week ago.
Look at the strut Bryan has going on he marched like a very proud parent! Notice all of his brochure's are in his back pocket, I don't think he did his job very well!

This video isn't the greatest but it is just a short clip of the parade.

North Street School Parade

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Jack's school puts on an end of the year parade where they block off the roads in front of and next to the school and all of the pre-k through 2nd grade classes have themes and march in the parade. Jack's class did We Love Our Planet Earth. Jack was a tiger with a sign that said "Please keep my jungle clean". We all had a lot of fun, it was really cute.

Here are the little boys waiting for the parade to begin (this was Henry's first parade).

Jack gave a quick smile as he passed by.

The Park

We took a trip to the park today with Aunt Amy and Henry. Jack and Luke had a great time running around and Cole and Henry hung out by the swings. There is also a short video of Cole walking. He usually does a little better than this, he is still getting the hang of the uneven ground outside.

Here is Jack in the Animal Barn. He was like this the whole time we were in the barn. He informed me that he will wait outside next time we visit the barn.
Here are Cole and Henry posing on the slide.

Henry tried on his new summer hat, it seems to be a bit too big still....
.....yet too small for Cole!

Here is Luke posing by a sheep in the Animal Barn.

Bubba's Goodbye

As most of you know my brother Brian (a.k.a Bubba) is leaving today for basic training for the Air Force. After that he is going to school for Pararescue. We probably won't be able to see him for a couple of months so my mom had a big going away party on Sat. for family and friends. We will be sad to not have Bubba around but we see how ready he is for this and wish him the best.

Bompa, Barbara and Cole playing in the sandbox.
Kathy Nai meeting Henry for the first time. (are you happy Kathy, I updated and you made the blog!)
Jack and Luke playing boccie with Bubba and his friends.
Luke post boccie game. Notice how much fatter his right side of his mouth is as opposed to his left. Luke learned that you shouldn't throw the boccie ball up in the air unless you are certain you can catch it.
Cole's first Popsicle, I know he's 13 months and he has never had a pop but he thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks Aunt Emma for helping with this mess!
Bubba's cake, supposed to say "Good Luck Brian", however I think the people at Price Chopper need a proof reader since it says "God Luck Brain". Oh well, it was still good!
Mother's Day at Grammy's, Luke took another stab at boccie ball.
Bubba holds Henry one last time before he goes.
A family shot on Grammy's front steps. Thanks Uncle Steve and Nicole!

Taekwondo Test

Here are a few pictures from Jack's test in Taekwondo. He is now being promoted to a green belt. Sorry no video this time, but he did successfully break another board!

Luke and His Trucks

This is pretty much what goes on everyday at our house. Luke has one of the large rubbermaid buckets full of all sorts of trucks, cars and bikes and he lines them up in a different order each day. There are so many cars and trucks that the line usually reaches from the playroom into the living room. It makes a huge mess but I'm okay with it since it keeps him busy for hours.

Our New Driveway

I'm so sorry it has been so long since my last post, there really is no excuse. We have had a lot going on at our house this past week. We had our old driveway torn out and a new one put in, needless to say there have been a lot of great machines in our yard and the boys have been entertained all week.

Here are Cole and Luke checking things out first thing in the morning.

Our new driveway, it is much wider at the top now which will be great for bike riding!
