Cole's Big Boy Bed!

Cole had his first night in a big boy bed last night. We have switched all of the boys rooms around since Reed was in need of the crib we figured we should change it up. Cole has moved in with Jack and Luke and Reed are now roommates, surprisingly the first night was very uneventful! I think by 8:30 all 4 were in their beds fast asleep, Cole never even got out once! (I knew he had it in him to follow directions!) Here are some pics of the big boy in his new bed!

Extreme Home Makeover Comes to Suffield!!

Today we made the trip over to Mather St. to check out the Extreme Home Makeover, you can't have this happening in your town and not go check it out. We all (Amy, Kevin, myself and the 5 boys) piled on the bus and head over after naps today.

Here are Cole and Amy on the bus! Cole was very excited to ride a school bus.
Jack was not so happy on the way there, our bus was extremely packed and he had to sit in between me and Amy along with Cole and Reed. It was hot and squishy but we made it!
I just need to say what an amazing baby Reed is. The poor child hadn't eaten since noon so I figured I would feed him on the ride over, well this would have all been fine but when I made his bottle before we got on the bus, somehow the bag burst and that was it for the bottle! Of course I didn't have another so I decided we were just going to take our chances. We didn't hear a peep out of him the whole time and the poor thing never ate until almost 6 pm! I love him!!

Here we are in the spectator area which is really muddy and was pretty crowded.

This was the best shot I could get of the house, it looks like the outside is mostly done but there sure is a lot of yard work to do!
Kevin was not only kind enough to come with us (I told Amy I wouldn't go unless he came to help with all of the kids since Bryan had to work, thanks Kev!!) but, he held each of my kids up so they could at least see what we came to look at!
Here are Jack and Luke running back down the walkway to catch up to Kevin and Henry.
The boys waiting to catch the bus back! They were all so amazingly well behaved!!!
I'm pretty sure Henry is telling the bus driver to "Move that bus!!"
We (Kevin) decided that since everyone was so good, including Uncle Kev, that we deserved ice cream for supper! Here is Henry enjoying his, just to think, last year he was in a bucket on this very table and here he is this year enjoying his own ice cream! I'm thinking maybe next year he'll use his spoon!! Stay tuned to Amy's blog, I'm sure she'll post the pictures of his hair!!!
Cole was so happy, I think this helped him forget about his muddy feet! I think I may give him ice cream for supper every night just to see that grin!!

Father's Day!

I guess I'm a little bit behind again! Last week on Father's Day we had my family over for breakfast. The boys all had a lot of fun especially because Bubba is in town for a little while. I am just realizing I don't have any great pictures of Bryan with the boys but here are some pictures from our day.

Unfortunately for Bryan he got a gift that he had to put together, but trust me he has enjoyed it since!
I just thought this was a funny picture of Cole, yes he thinks he can skateboard! I don't think there is anything that this boy won't try!
Here is a sweet picture of a dad with a baby, too bad it's not his baby but Reed sure does like his Uncle Kev! Look out Kevin I think you're 4 for 4 now!!
Bubba and the boys playing ball.
Luke was a big helper putting the hammock together.
This was probably the highlight of the day. Gigi bought this inflatable tube for Jack for his birthday. Basically you get in and hold on for dear life as you get hurled down the hill. Lucky for me I was picked to go first I'm not sure how that happened but I was definitely a bit dizzy when I got out! I think I'm getting a little too old for this stuff!! Here is Emily after her turn trying to stand up.

The boys chasing after Kevin as Bryan stops him before he hits the road.
Also the boys did get plenty of turns but it was much more entertaining to watch the adults take their turns!

Reed

It has been requested that I post some pictures of Reed, the poor thing kind of gets lost in the shuffle. I do take pictures of him but I don't think I tend to post him because he's always doing the same thing in every picture! Reed is 10 weeks tomorrow and is an amazing baby, he is so good and very happy. He is really smiling a lot and really starting to engage with us, he also thinks his big brothers are very funny (uh oh!). Oh well, here is an entire post just for Reed.

Vermont

On Saturday night we went up to Burlington, VT for a night with Amy, Kevin and Henry just for a quick getaway. The boys had a lot of fun swimming at the hotel and the next day walking around Burlington and going to a museum. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Cole has zero fear of the water, which I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing?!
We tried really hard to get a picture of all 4 boys at the poolside but this is the best we could do.
Cole giving me a quick wave after a big jump.
All of the boys in the hot tub!
A family picture on the sun deck outside of the second floor of the museum. This overlooked Lake Champlain, it was really beautiful. The sun was right in our eyes so Cole wouldn't turn around.
The boys taking in the view.
Lake Champlain
Inside the museum, the boys in a treasure chest inside the pirate ship.
Luke and Cole inside the wind tunnel. The winds blew up to 78 mph inside there to simulate being in a hurricane, Cole loved it and went in numerous times!

Fun With Rice Krispies!

Henry started back last Tuesday and now that he is walking him and Cole are up to no good. I'm sure Cole deserves most of the credit for this one but I can assure you Henry was more than happy to partake in the action. I came into the family room the other day after putting the baby down for a nap and this is what I found. Yes that is or was a full box of Rice Krispies dumped all over my carpet and a 1 and 2 year old in their glory gobbling them up!
Luke joined in for the "clean up"!
Henry, who thought this was a great idea (he LOVES food), couldn't quite understand why Auntie would want to vacuum the rest of the mess instead of letting him eat them! This was the aftermath of the Rice Krispies Fun, poor Henry! I'm sure I'm in for a lot worse in the years to come with all of these boys.

Author's Night

A couple of weeks ago Jack had Author's Night at school. They divided the class in half and the kids got to read their stories that they have been working on to their families.

Jack in the chair listening to the comments and questions about his story.

Jack and his teacher and half of his class.
Jack and Luke. Luke came with me to author's night and it was a good thing because Jack dedicated his book to Luke and then gave it to him at the end of the night (very sweet I know, trust me it doesn't last long!)

Preschool's Year End!

Luke had a few fun events to wrap up this year of preschool. It started out with field day and ended with a year end performance.

Here are both 3 year old classes on field day posing with their beach balls and sunglasses, they were very cute.

Luke and his friend Jeffrey running in a race.

Luke and his friend Justin (far left) getting ready to perform!
Luke singing away!

Cousin Fun!

A couple of Sundays ago Bryan had to work and Jack and Luke went fishing with Papa so Henry came over to play with Cole. The boys had a lot of fun playing outside, here are some pictures of their fun with the water table.

Helping Amy get the table cleaned out.
Cole showed Henry no mercy when it came to a water fight! Luckily Henry is a good sport and doesn't mind freezing cold water in the face!
Cole had to be told repeatedly that it is not a pool and that you do not get into the table.
Here's a cute shot of Henry in his suit! They had a lot of fun and I'm sure this is the first of many fun days these two will have together.
