Henry's Visit

Henry visits quite often but this time we got to watch him while his mom and dad went out for dinner and our kids were in bed. I was very excited to have some one on one time with him. He really liked Uncle Bryan. He gave us a few smiles in between his screaming sessions! Oh well we still had fun and can't wait to watch him again.

Cole's Curls

Since Nina blogged about hair I thought I should too. Bryan was telling Lee about Cole's hair last night and I told her I would post some pictures, they don't really do it justice. I'm holding Bryan off from cutting it as long as I can, I know it will never curl like this again once it has been cut.

Mystic Seaport

Yesterday the boys and I went to Mystic Seaport with my parents while Bryan was at work. There were so many things to see and do, we climbed on a lot of old ships and did a lot of other great things. I didn't know there were so many fun things for kids to do there, but the boys had a great time.

One of the boats we climbed on.
Luke insisted that he go on the horse drawn carriage ride. Jack didn't want to go so Grammy was going to stay with him and Cole while the rest of us went but Luke asked me not to go since he just wanted him and Papa to go, oh well it saved me $5!
Jack climbing on a tree that fell down in Miss. during Hurricane Katrina and it was transported here to help repair some of the old ships.
Cole was so excited about this he decided to kiss the tree.
Here we are waiting for the carriage riders to return.
Cole spent most of the day with Grammy, he didn't get to go on every boat, it's quite a production to take him on and off since he is in to temper tantrums when the fun ends.
This could have been a really cute picture but I'm coming to realize that all 3 are never going to look at me at the same time.
Papa and the boys on the green learning how to play old fashioned games, Jack got it right away, Papa and Luke needed more practice. They also got to try and walk on stilts, that didn't go as smoothly.
The boys outside the Children's Museum, they had a water table outside with little boats in it. Poor little Mike, the boy we met there, I think Cole got him a few times in the face with water!
The boys and Papa give a quick pose on the first boat of the day.

Cole posing with the cannon on one of the few boats he got on.

Watermelon Day

Even though none of my pictures show any slices of watermelon, Jack's kindergarten class had watermelon day last week. They had all of the parents come in and have a slice of watermelon with the kids and the kids gave us each a poster they made with their footprints and hand prints and a poem. It was really cute to see them all, they were very excited to have their moms and dads and brothers and sisters in their class. Jack had a great class and a great teacher this year, I can't believe he's already done with kindergarten and is now a 1st grader! Yikes!

Here is a photo of some of Jack's classmates and their siblings. For those of you who knew Amy when she was little check out Marissa in the back row with the glasses, Bryan loves that she looks like Amy did as a little kid.
Here is Jack with his teacher Mrs. Audette (on the right) and the teacher's aide Mrs. Burke (left). They were so wonderful we are certainly going to miss them.

Random Pictures

Here are just a few pictures from this past week of Cole and Jack. Here is Cole having his first Gogurt, I wouldn't recommend it for a child of this age but he will not settle for anything less than his brothers have. Also here is a picture of Jack wearing Bubba's hat that he took home from Grammy's the other day.

No Stage Fright Here!

Luke had an end of the year program for preschool, the whole thing lasted a total of 9 mins. They just sang a few songs from this year. Luke was very nervous that he was going to "catch" stage fright and forget the words. I reassured him that he would be fine, and of course he was, he knew all of the words. His only mishap was in the very beginning was that his shoes fell off as he walked up the steps, you'll see from the last picture that that was fixed very quickly and with a smile on his face.

Check Out Our Sound Effects!

I decided our blog was lacking a little so I added this fun effect, make sure your sound is on to enjoy!!

New Hampshire

As most of you already know, Bryan and I went away with his Aunt and Uncle, Robb and Nina and their friends who were visiting from Germany, Stephan and Babette. We went up to New Hampshire on the motorcycles and stayed in a bed and breakfast and had beautiful weather for riding the whole weekend. Here are quite a few pictures from the weekend.

Stephan, Babette, Robb and Bryan placing their order at Curtis' Bar-B-Que in Putney VT. This was our first stop on the way up on Thursday.
Taking a look at the map before we leave to plan our route.
Bryan checking out the pot bellied pig.
The bed and breakfast where we stayed.
The view of Newfound lake from the bed and breakfast.

Bryan sun screening up on the first day of riding.
Getting the bikes ready.
Stephan and Babette, I think she had her camera going the whole time we were riding!
Nina giving a thumbs up on our first day.

Fun in the Sun!

As most of you know the weather here has been extremely hot. After the parade on Sat. the boys had some fun in Henry's little pool and running through the hose at Amy's. Even Henry joined in the fun, however he didn't enjoy the water as much as the bigger boys, but he sure looked cute in his suit!

Yet Another Parade!

Yes we attended yet another parade. This time it was in East Granby for their town's 150th anniversary. My cousin Nicole marched with the middle school's color guard. The parade route was about 3 miles long and lasted about an hour and a half. Surprisingly the boys lasted through the whole thing. They had a lot of interesting groups and floats in this parade. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Grammy and the boys waiting for the parade to start. (We were lucky and the parade went right by Grammy's work so we sat on their front lawn, there was a lot of room for them to run around).

Amy and Henry. Henry is such a trooper, the temp. quickly got up into the 90's while we were there and he didn't fuss at all, soon after this he went to sleep for the whole parade.
They had this steel drum band that was pretty cool.
The East Granby Turkey's. Different businesses in town could buy a turkey and then have it painted. The doctors office my mom works for bought a turkey and Dr. Ewald's wife painted it. Their turkey is the one with the pill bottles for wings and with the stethoscope around its neck.
There was a group from an acrobat place. They stopped right in front of us and did a little show, there was a lot of flipping and dancing, the boys really liked that.
Here is the color guard, my cousin is in the back on the right, with a flag in front of her face, it was so sunny I couldn't see what I was taking a picture of.

This was one of my favorite floats. Their sign says "this is the way it was". I thought it was cute.
