Weekend Fun!!

This was a very busy weekend for us. We started out with Luke playing in between periods at the Springfield Falcons game, followed by his birthday on Sunday. We all had a lot of fun at the game and to every one's surprise all 5 kids (Henry included), lasted through the entire game and one period of overtime! I think we have a lot of future hockey players on our hands. I tried really hard for 2 days to upload the video and for some reason it didn't work, those of you that have facebook can view it there and I'm sorry to the rest of you!!

The Springfield Falcons and The Hartford Wolfpack warm up! (the Falcons pulled through with the win in overtime!)

Thank goodness we had extra laps!

Henry showing me his puck, this was right before he threw it down into a crowd of people!

The boys at the game!

Even Reed loved his first hockey experience!!

Luke is on the green team with a white helmet and maroon socks. It's not easy to pick your kid out with that mob of kids out there (I thought for most of the time that he was a blue player!). It's hard to tell, but technically Luke scored this goal at the very end of the game, one of 2 goals scored, it dribbled in very slowly, but it went in!

Luke is the green player straight ahead with the white helmet.

Luke is just to the left of the man in the grey t-shirt.

This is on Sunday at the Rainforest Cafe where we went for Luke's birthday lunch.

The other end of the table!

After lunch we went to the candy store, and no, Cole did not eat all of his pop. Cole didn't listen when we told him that his pop would break if he dropped it or banged it on anything, so naturally he banged it on a wall on the way out of the mall and when we opened it only half was remaining on the stick, he was still thrilled to have it!!

We had to improvise with the candles, apparently I was wrong in thinking that we had plenty of candles at home. The math lesson was a great touch to the birthday festivities.

Our big 5 year old!!

Luke was very excited to get his own Nintendo DS for his birthday, I'm excited now that I don't have to listen to them fighting over Jack's! Cole has already started telling me that he wants a DS for his party, I don't think so!!

Reed and a Cookie

I thought Reed should have a post all of his own since he doesn't make it into many of the posts with all of the boys. These are some pictures of Reed having his first cookie, I would say it was a hit. He is having more and more "real" food these days and is loving it!

Skating/Sledding

Over vacation the boys had a great time getting to go to public skating in Westfield and also sledding on New Year's Day at the Rice's. Here are some pics of all the fun they had.

All suited up and ready to go!!

Cole was very excited about his first time on the ice!
Of course, Reed was perfect! He is so great about being dragged to all of these events, he was made to be a 4th child!!
They're off!!

Cole loved when Bryan would slam him into the glass next to where we were standing
Not bad for his first time, he loved it and wasn't discouraged at all, I'm not sure Bryan's back loved it though! Cole was a good sport about giving Dad a break after each time around.
He was so happy out there, I see a lot of ice payments in our future!
The whole crew
All of the boys loved sledding on New Year's Day with their cousins, I loved trying to use my new camera to get some good pics.

I'm not sure this was the safest thing to do, but Cole sure loved it!
I guess Bryan thought Cole should return the favor!
The best part about them getting older, this year everyone was able to walk up the hill and also carry their own sleds!!
Cole came in before the rest of the boys and started on a project that Nina's friend Christie had given to Wiley and Braeden. They decorated popcorn balls with different kinds of candy, I'm glad I was the photographer on this one. Robb and Nina got to play Grandma and Grandpa to Cole while the big boys were outside!
Don't be fooled, he didn't like any of the candies that were on there and this was his one and only bite! The big boys turn, they sure had fun!

More Christmas!!

I think these are finally the last of my Christmas pictures, these are from Christmas Day and the day after at the Rice's.

The happy couple just before they left
Reed really enjoyed Grammy's pumpkin roll that Bubba made
Papa and Cole playing Cole's very own UNO game, he is excited to have a game that is his own!
Jack and Luke and their new slingshots Bubba made them, complete with their names etched on there!
These next two gifts were definitely favorites of Cole's, Bubba and Emily got him a bag full of balls and Amy and Kevin got him a doctor's kit.

Henry had a lot of tears until we got that scooter out of the box for him!
Cole taking his own blood pressure
These next pictures are from Sat. at the Rice's, the little boys exchanged gifts. They had fun putting their Legos together and then watching a movie.
Jack and Wiley watching the movie together on the couch
The next day the Lego building continued at our house, luckily for me Bryan and Shaun took care of most of it!
