New Hampshire

As most of you already know, Bryan and I went away with his Aunt and Uncle, Robb and Nina and their friends who were visiting from Germany, Stephan and Babette. We went up to New Hampshire on the motorcycles and stayed in a bed and breakfast and had beautiful weather for riding the whole weekend. Here are quite a few pictures from the weekend.

Fun in the Sun!

As most of you know the weather here has been extremely hot. After the parade on Sat. the boys had some fun in Henry's little pool and running through the hose at Amy's. Even Henry joined in the fun, however he didn't enjoy the water as much as the bigger boys, but he sure looked cute in his suit!

Yet Another Parade!

Yes we attended yet another parade. This time it was in East Granby for their town's 150th anniversary. My cousin Nicole marched with the middle school's color guard. The parade route was about 3 miles long and lasted about an hour and a half. Surprisingly the boys lasted through the whole thing. They had a lot of interesting groups and floats in this parade. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Amy and Henry. Henry is such a trooper, the temp. quickly got up into the 90's while we were there and he didn't fuss at all, soon after this he went to sleep for the whole parade.
They had this steel drum band that was pretty cool.

The East Granby Turkey's. Different businesses in town could buy a turkey and then have it painted. The doctors office my mom works for bought a turkey and Dr. Ewald's wife painted it. Their turkey is the one with the pill bottles for wings and with the stethoscope around its neck.
There was a group from an acrobat place. They stopped right in front of us and did a little show, there was a lot of flipping and dancing, the boys really liked that.
Here is the color guard, my cousin is in the back on the right, with a flag in front of her face, it was so sunny I couldn't see what I was taking a picture of.

This was one of my favorite floats. Their sign says "this is the way it was". I thought it was cute.

Field Day

Luke had field day today at preschool. There were a lot of fun events, races, water balloons and much more!

Over all it was a really fun day, hot, but fun.

Kid City

On Sat. my mom and I took the boys to Kid City museum in Middletown, it is an interactive museum for kids. Everyone loved it. Even Cole got a lot out of it now that he is a full time walker!

Full steam ahead! Cole in the Pirate ship. I think this was their favorite room, there were a lot of things to do in this room including a huge pirate ship to climb on.

Jack's 6th Birthday!

Jack turned 6 on the 26th of May. We had a little party for him at my mom and dad's house. He got a lot of great gifts and had a lot of fun with everyone.

It wouldn't be a party if Luke didn't put a body part in the cake, this day it happened to be his face, usually it's just a finger or two.
Jack with Emily who brought the gift from her and Bubba on Sunday after the parade. That is one fast skateboard but Jack has already gotten really good at it. He had one before but Bryan sent him down the slide on it and it broke.

Uncle Aaron and Kelly got Jack a new baseball glove and a bat and ball.
We got Jack his own set of golf clubs, I think this gift might be a little more for Bryan so he now has someone to golf with.
Grammy and Papa got Jack a new bike, he has already perfected riding with no training wheels!

Picnic, Singalongs and more....

This post is kind of a combination of a few little events. Memorial Day weekend we had a picnic and a bonfire with some friends and neighbors. The boys (big and small) had so much fun. The day started out with a bunch of us going on a motorcycle ride and then returning to hang out and have a cookout (which Amy so kindly prepared for us since she missed the ride due to lack of babysitting). Next was running through the sprinkler at Amy and Kevin's house for the little boys, that is always a good time. Then it was on to Joey and Caren's for the food and horseshoe portion of our day. Luke helped by raking out the horseshoe pits for the guys, with his helmet on I might add, safety first! Cole had fun climbing the tree at the cookout (all Grandmother's don't look, he was fine. I've learned to look the other way when Bryan does these things to our children). The last part of the day was spent at our house having a bonfire. Joey performed some songs for us on his guitar and he also brought his bongo and rain stick for the boys. Luke eventually got his little guitar and joined in on the last song before bed, there is a quick video which is a little hard to see. After the boys went to bed Aaron took over and played with Joey. Henry definitely enjoyed his first fire. He was such a good boy and fell right asleep. We had a great time and our night ended with a visit from a nice Windsor Locks police officer telling us that someone complained we were too loud (oh well), it may have been the fireworks Aaron had set off earlier in the night!
